On the "FoodTrackerPro" App on my iPhone I learned what consisted of one serving of grains, fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy, sweets, oils & fats, and water. I used this as a guide to calculate how many servings of each food group I had eaten.
I tracked the amount of servings I ate of each food group for three days (February 17,19, 23) to see if I was eating the right amount servings per day according to the "FDA Food Pyramid". In turn I found out, that I was eating the correct daily serving amount of fruits, grains, meats but I was not eating enough vegetables and dairy and drinking enough water. This coming week I will increase my daily servings of vegetables and dairy and my intake of water. This time I will track it to make sure I am meeting the set amount of servings of each food group that should be consumed on a daily basis and I will try to follow it everyday. My goal for next week is to learn about foods that give us natural energy and what foods make us tired.
